He Came to Give Us Life Abundant

We were controlled by Allah and Spirit, the principalities that hover around the earth. Spirit of disobedience, Spirit that separate man from God. Spirit of destruction. And because of the love God has for us, he has to design that Jesus Christ should come in the form of man gone and bred by a woman, so that he will be able to feel our pains and take the penalty of our sins on his body on the cross of Calvary.

That is why when Jesus came, he did not just come to give life, and he came to give abundant life. But before we go in to know what is abundant life, let us get to glory about the the state of man before his physical advent. In Ephesians chapter two we are reading verse one and two. Ephesians chapter two, verse one and two.

Two from verse one to two. Book of Ephesians, chapter two from verse one and two. And you had and you as he quickened who we are dead in trespass and sin, wherein in time past year walked according to the cause of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air and the Spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. 3 I born the co op.

Because in Christ when it is said you and you and you means you and myself we were made. You cannot quicken something that is alive. You can only make alive one more day. To be quicken is to make alive.

And you have been quickened. Who were there in transgressions, transgressions. And since wherein in time past ye walk according to the cause of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, that is Satan given satanic agent which is not with us, the spirit that now walketh in the children of disobedience walketh in the children of disobedience. This same spirit is still working in the lives of the children of disobedience.

Spirit to disobey God. Spirit to transgress the precepts of God. That was what was controlling humanity and that was why God was seeing us as jacob. And because he loved us, he designed a means through which we will be quickened.

That was why Jesus came. To give us abundant life. To give us abundant life. John did the john 10.

10. John chapter 10, verse 10. The thief command not but to steal and to kill and to destroy. I am come that they might be they might have life, and they might have it more abundantly enough in Christ.

Who are these tips and what is abundant life? Abundant life, beloved, in Christ means meaningful, victorious, peaceful, fruitful and eternal life. And eternal life. Meaningful life he came to give you a meaningful life, continue to give you the glorious life.

How you can overcome sin, temptation, how you can be victorious in the face of trials and temptation. How you can overcome poverty and wants. How you can overcome diseases. How you can overcome any powers of darkness, principalities and powers.

That was why Jesus Christ came. And to top it up, he came to give you eternal life. The enemy who are Satan, false prophets, agent of the devil, witches and wizards are the thief. Whenever they come, take notes.

They are not coming to look at your kids. They are coming to steal your joy and happiness. They are coming to destroy you. When you derail from the left to the right, they come to destroy you.

And they also came to kill you. That is the purpose. They may come in two ways. They may come like angel of light trying to pity you, show you pity.

Oh, what is happening? Why now we need kind of illness and you are not doing anything. Why must you continue to remain in this condition? Some who don't have the word of God in them, we say, I have nobody.

Nobody for what? Who am I? How will I assist you? I will do this and that.

By the time you yield to such, you are derailed from the instruction of God. What the person is going to destroy in your life is your faith in Jesus Christ. Your faith in Jesus Christ, that faith you've been exercising based on the sacrificial work of Calvary. He will destroy him.

Because the word of God says that Jesus Christ came to suffer for our iniquity. He was to tithe for our peace. And then by his stripes we are healed. And you see.

So by the time you begin to devise another means, you have rejected the work of Jesus Christ on tabernacle cross. That wound it was given wounded for our transgression. You have destroyed it. You have rejected it.

The times, remember, before Jesus Christ was taken to the cross. He was well stricken by the pilots. In order to appease the crowd, in order to be a friend of Caesar. And after he was severely beaten again, the body was destroyed.

Like one pastor who was retired. He was retired when he was 97 years. Then he lived on until he was either one 30 something years or so before he passed on. We have also seen the one that died in 20, 23, 98 years.

Many like that go and ask them what it is. What is that they don't know. It is not mercy that gives life. Life is from God.

Life is from God. So you see in Jesus Christ did not just come to the world to look at the world. He came for a purpose. He said the thief covered not but to steal and to kill and to destroy.

I am come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly. That is why this morning we are reminded that he came that we may have a abundant life. Told you that abundant life means life that is meaningful. There are people here on earth that live meaningless life.

Because life without Christ is a meaningless life. Life without Christ is a life that should become useless. And with Christ you are living a victorious life. You are living a very peaceful life.

You are living a fruitful life and eternal life. Never immediately. Because in Christ riches does God provide abundant life. Riches does not provide upon that life.

When Jesus come, there are people that have riches like we saw in the Bible, that rich food. He was rich in the sight of people. And people call him rich man. That man is heavily rich.

And he was proud that he is rich because his farm was able to yield good crop. He said, oh, my soul, you have the gods and the Lord. You did and to be satisfied. Then what of God said that night his soul was requested from him, was taken away from him and in heaven he registered where God that he was a richer fool because he was not rich in the world.

He didn't consider God. He didn't know that God gives strength like some people. Ah, I have to go to my business. I have to do this and that without me featuring in my business place.

I can never into my children, I cannot go to school and so on. You can't give one hour to God. You cannot even having a quiet time to pray to God. You will not do it even to pray before you move out.

It will be a Waste of time. Oh, who tell you that the protection you used to enjoy is not from God. Many people have riches enough. They have many cars, gift here and there, houses here and there.

But when they come, they will die to live all those things. A lot of money will be there in the bank. A lot of money will be in their cupboard. A lot of properties will be here and there.

When they die, they'll be carrying one kind of cranky ambulance to where they are going to be embarked. And in this everybody is the same. Whether you are rich or poor. A little person will just naked you just put you naked, pour chemical on you, do whatever he wants to do with you.

If you like, be whatever you like. Whether you are a president, you are somebody that if you walk in the street people will bow down for you. You are just nothing. And the same qualification is given to you.

Let that is the qualification. Let sister, let brother, let this, let that. Even if you are president, if somebody like let him say Let president. Let the general qualification.

Everybody receives the debt. Riches is different from abundant life. From abundant life. John, chapter 5, verse 11.

And this. This is the record that God has given us eternal life. And this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life, but in Christ.

This is what is in the record. This is what God knows. And this is a record that God had given to us eternal life. And this life is in his Son.

He that had the Son had life and he that had not the Son of God had not life. Life is not gotten from any other source. He is the truth, he is the way, he is the light. Only Jesus Christ can live life.

No other religion on earth can lead to life. That is why wise one will, no matter what happens, even though they are told they will kill you if you denounce this religion and go into Christian religion. They say it is good they die and make heaven than to remain in a religion that when they close their eyes they will not see life. Because life is recorded in heaven.

That you cannot can only obtain life eternal from our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us confirm more for me I need to know that riches cannot give anybody life. Psalm 49:6 to 8,. Number 676-8.

And it seizes forever. He trust in your words and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches. None of them can by any means redeem his brother nor give to God a ransom for him. A ransom for him?

The only person that give his life as a ransom for us is Jesus Christ. He gave his life as a ransom. You know you pay ransom to those who are kidnapped. The devil kidnapped us through deceits he did Eve.

He deceived thief that when he eat the forbidden fruit, he will never die. He will live forever. You will be like God. And they did.

Look. That is why we must be very careful. If we want, we must make it to heaven if we must end our Christian race joyously, happily. Don't take a second look.

First look can save you, but a second look will make you. Because when the devil come to you, it doesn't matter how old you are or how young you are. What the devil is after is he has gotten it. So when he gets you, when it comes to you, it doesn't matter.

The one thing is, whatever happened to you, whatever comes to you, don't take it for granted. Don't take it for granted. Let's say this one is a simple thing. Nothing is simple.

Nothing is simple. Recognize the devil. When you recognize the devil, then you'll be free. And if you take things for granted, you will fall from up to down.

Only Jesus can give me abundant life. And that is why we need to be very careful. You don't possess Jesus by mere calling Jesus, Jesus. You possess him by believing in him and acting according to his instruction.

Because abundant life means there is hope. Even when passing through difficulties in life. Even when passing through difficulties in life. You see, when you have that abundant life, there is hope.

There is a hope because you are Jesus Christ is with you. There is assurance of Jesus Christ when you have abundant life. When you have a abundant life. Yes, abundant life does not mean that you'll be exempted from trials and temptation.

It will surely come. But one thing is that there is assurance of escape. There is assurance of escape. John 16:33,.

Verse 33 of John chapter 16, verse 33. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation. But be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

This was an instruction, word of encouragement Jesus gave to his disciple and we are that disciple today. Say this thing. Have I spoken unto you that in me ye might have peace? Have you seen it?

Peace in the midst of storm. Peace is the time of trouble in the world. Ye shall have tribulation, Meaning you, truth will overcome. Because abundant life means peace in the midst of storm.

It means peace in the midst of storm. For example, when Daniel was taking the lion dead, Daniel didn't know how God is going to rescue him. But he knew that as far as God is concerned, as far as he was doing his will, that he would surely do something. He will surely do something.

How he would do it if he didn't know that there was peace in him. He didn't struggle with those who came to put chain in his hand, to put chain in his leg. He did not struggle with them. He was going with them, going with them.

And another thing is for you to be able to use that gun and achieve a purpose. God has given us power. God has made U.S. govern U.S. government of all principalities and powers. Sir, you have given you power to tread upon scorpion and sacris and nothing by any means.

Like this in the church you have stepped in somebody's clothes. If you don't take time five years to come, you will say if you see the kind disgrace. Somebody disgraced me in the church one day. Oh, without the grace of God, I wouldn't be able to go.

I cried inside me, right? You see, that is not the thing. But we are telling you, Jesus doesn't give that peace. He give permanent peace.

He gives a permanent peace yet. John 14:27, John 14,. Chapter 14, verse 27. Peace I live with you, my peace I give unto you.

Not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Love in Christ. What else can a good father talk to his children?

A good father will always advise his children. I remember I used to tell you and I will tell you again. I remember when late residing elder pastor Dr. Three of us were there. Pastor said, we were there, we knelt down, he was lying on the ground, we knelt down, he was advising us.

God has taken care of me. It is him that has called me. I spoke to my children. Take care of the work.

I said. I said, you will not take care of the work. God is going to help me people. If you leave me people straight you fulfill your ministry.

And Jesus is the source of life. Jesus is the source of life. And because it's the source of life, you can't get light from anywhere like this water. Now, if the source of this water is from a particular, you know, stream or river, it is from that river that you can get the water.

If you close that source, whatever water that is remaining here at the end of it, already dry. But if the source is still open, if the fountain is still open, the water will continue to flow. Therefore, let's look at where the source of life is, so that you know you can't get it from any other way. John 1, verse 1 to 4 John chapter 1, verse 1.

4 John, chapter 1 from verse 1. To 4. John chapter 1st, from verse 1 to 4. In the beginning was the world.

And the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him. And without him was not anything made that was made.

In him was life. And the life was the light of man. And the light was the light of man. In him was life, and the life was the light of man.

In the beginning he was with God as one. Because God used way to create everything he's created to every human being. Even when he created human being, he said, let us make man by our own image. And then when God pronounced that no and who are still mentioning?

We talking about Jesus Christ, we talking about the Holy Spirit. Because these three beings are distinct in nature, but one in purpose. None of them can argue each other. Come, let us make man in our own image.

That word alone was Christ. This is what we are hearing from them. See, everything was made by Him. The what?

And for him was everything made. And without him nothing would have been made. That is a mystery. You can only know if you are the Spirit, that Christ is the world and he lives from the beginning and is equal with the Father.

And from him is life, is the source of life. And that light is the light of men. Without Christ we will not know what is sin, what is evil and what is good. You would know the real God.

Our parents did not have this light. And because they did not have this light, any green water was God to them. High hills was God. Big trees was gone to them even up till today.

Those who don't have life, this light which is Jesus Christ. You will see them going to buy smoke water in the bottle when they see cockroach. Oh, this cockroach. Why are you here?

Oh, my enemy has come. You will see them sprinting here, here and there, sprinkling here and there. Something you can touch by your hand, throw it away, kill it and go your way. They'll be skitting that their enemy has come to attack them.

Oh, they are gone. I said, look at the other day when I saw him, his face was so, so proud. And that face was for me. I've seen it in the coming in form of cockroach.

Now this is what is happening in the world. This is where they spend a lot of money thinking that that will protect them. And here we are told that in him was a light and that light was the light of men. That light is only enlightening those who are in him, those who are in Christ Jesus, that have that light.

That there's no powers of darkness can overcome a child of God. Unless you are not a prayerful, unless you sleep, unless you don't know that anything that the devil can transform himself into angel of light. God like lion, when he comes like lion. What a grow like lion.

It will come with sickness, can come with sickness, it can come with ash. Sickness in the hand, as you were crying, that your hand is telling you before you know it is. Before you know it is this, that is lion coming to you. Come like lion before you do it.

Evil report. You get evil report from here and there. That one, it is coming like lion. When he can come as a dream of life.

And whoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believe thou this love in Christ. This was what Jesus Christ said in the house of La Lazarus passed on and he was buried for four days. The rough in Christ. The children of Israel, when they were heading to the earthly promised land cannon they offended God in the wilderness. They murmured against God about how they will see meat to eat, how they will see cucumber, how they will see carrots, how they will see onions and all other things they used to eat. God became offended.

What kind of people is? I used mighty hand to revoke them from the land of bondage. All these things that we are mentioning, they can remember how they were suffered before. They can have a feel of whatever thing they are mentioning now.

But when you believe in him, what is awaiting you is eternal life. Is eternal life here on earth. If you believe in him, he will protect you. He will preserve you.

Nothing will happen to you accidentally. Whatever happens to you, here it is. Believe in him and call upon Him. He will rescue you.

And again, if you pass on before he comes, you will live again. You will live again. That is why he said, abundant life, abundant life. That is to say, the life of a believer has no end.

Live here and live forever. Because even in death you are not transiting to a better life, a better life. And that was because Jesus Christ came to give abundant life. You know how to get it.

You gained it by exercising a constant faith on Him. You get it by believing in him, remaining steadfast even in the midst of trials and temptation. You don't care. You don't move to the left nor to the right when you do so.

Abundant life is yours. Meaningful life, luxurious life. Life that you are not going to be caught and be in the confine of poverty forever. Life that you will come upon him at any condition and you'll be freed.

That is the life Jesus Christ came to be. And that is why, if you are still struggling with hardship, if you are still struggling with sickness, you have been struggling with persecution, many trials, that you are still following Him. Cry to him that this is why you came. Let me be free.

Let me be free. And you'll be free indeed. You'll be free indeed. May the Lord blend this way in our heart.
