God As Builder, Provider & Preserver

This is what God what we today being a preparatory service. God has directed us to that Psalm 127 for us to use it, to pray, for us to use it, to encourage ourselves, for us to use it and stand. Because it is only the word of God that we can stand on. It is the word of God.

We do not have any other words, other things that we should stand on. And that's Psalm 127 is clearly is where we are taking our reading. Our topic this morning is God the builder, provider and the preserver. God the builder, the provider and the preserver.

So this is what God is telling us this morning. God is all and all. God is the builder, God is the provider and God is the preserver in every aspect. To believers, God is the one.

So I sometimes surprise what happened for those that don't believe in God, you know, God is all and all in Psalm 127 teaches that all the human effort is incomplete without God's involvement, Without God because He is a builder, he is a provider. Where we have read here, he has really put it up for us. So what happened? I was glad this morning somebody all the way say he's going from here from Ajah to Oshirulere for service this morning.

Service and to go and clean the church and to go and attend to choir practice and so on and so forth. He will spend no less than 5, 5, 6,000 of all over. See, because people there are people that have understood, they come to clear to understand that God is the builder, He's a provider and he's the one that preserve us. If not, but those that don't.

Oh, it doesn't really matter. Does it matter? Is it not just preparatory service? Let me wait for tomorrow service.

I will be there. I will for that tomorrow it's raining. This is happening for that reason. It will not all over.

So we need to understand that human effort is incomplete without God involvement. Whether you are building our families, we are building our families, pursuing our careers or securing our communities or protect, you know, put a sign board, gather the police and all the rest. The true success come from God. God's blessing and guidance.

Whatever effort you are putting. That is when we were praying, I mentioned that look at massive the whole mass of the. Oh yes. It could have been possible if you know, to install security here, security post guards because so he can protect this place all over.

But when we cannot, when we were not able to do it. You pass along the road, see an empty plot, there's somebody, people are guarding it but here is where all our things are, church properties, and so on, so forth. It is who is taking what is happening. Since we cannot do that at the moment.

God has taken control. God has taken control. God is the one that is going through. So this place, we read, we look at it.

Except the Lord builds the house, the labor in vain that builded it. Except the Lord keep the city, the watchman worketh, but in vain, you know, God must build the house. God must build a house. Hard work is necessary, but without God help, the labor can be fruitless.

You can, you can do all that? Yes, it's necessary. Sometimes people will do things. Ah, my power.

You know, I put all the effort in this place, if not all my effort. Brethren, we need to know that without involving God, whatever effort we are doing is fruitless. In families, churches, in business and other things. When God is at the center, things will change.

A lot of they will, you will see a lot. But it's not so many people, worldly people. The people in the world would not believe this, would not. If they are not, you are not.

But by that, by the time you are equipped with the knowledge of, you will know that without God, all life is fruitless. We need to bring in God. We need to believe that it is God that is doing anything that is happening. We need to believe.

That's why we all look at ourselves as unprofitable servants. We have not. What, What. Sometimes people will say, yes, it's me, it's me, I'm the one.

No, it is God who gave you the strength, who gave you the power, who gave you the knowledge, who gave you the many. I struggle all through, but nothing comes in. So many people on the road, you see them carrying wood, running up and down, yet they cannot even eat. So when you, when you are little effort, something is coming in.

People will say, yes. Ah, because I, you know, because I went to school, because I did this, I did no. Except the Lord build the house. They labor in vain that building it.

Except the Lord keep a city. The man walked in vain. So this is what we need to believe. Security, peace, ultimately come from God, not human strength alone.

The peace we are enjoying here, the peace we are enjoying all this. God is working. God is working. God is walking.

So it is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrow. For so he giveth his beloved sleep. That is God. We need to trust God while you walk.

We need to trust God while you walk. If you don't carry God along, it Will be something else. What we are saying here is many many people outside will not you see the way they proud themselves the leaders see the way I have done this. I'm the one doing this.

I'm the one providing this. The Bible does not condemn hard work but warned against anxious and strengthful striving you and they want that is it. I'm the one without me, this place could not have been if I did not come here, if I did not do that. That is what the Bible don't want us to give all the glory to God get it that we are unprofitable what we have not let the glory be and then you will see God moving you see his hand because he wants to take the glory God give all the glory to God.

This is what the Bible wants us to do. Success is not determined only by what we know skill or effort God favor make the difference. That's very key God favorite There are many that they read very well they all over their but you look at them Saw one man in us some time ago says he's a doctor, he's a professor this but you see you will see him, you pity him. Said I've been a professor, I've been this I've been doing this I've been But it's hardly it's being helped.

My brother said they are helping. They do not help. I said what but when you listen to him that is where you can we can realize that whatever you are give God the glory. It is God.

So we should work diligently while trusting God for the results. Trust God. Believe in God. Believe God.

So for us to ah Some people say ah I don't sleep in the night, I walk throughout the night or this is the result. This is not so. It is God. It's the favor of God.

It's the mercy of God. It is the grace of God. It is the grace of God. It is the result of prayers.

It is not by our effort. It is not by our strength. Lo verse 3 says lo. Children are the heritage of the Lord and the fruit of the womb is its reward.

Children are God heritage. Why Children are gifts from God and must be nurtured according to God's will. Children are the gift from God. So you see people they get the children, they leave them they don't even nothing they allow them Even some people if you call them you want to you know, talk to the child.

Talk to why are you talking to my child? Why why do you preach to my why leave him God. It must be Nurtured. The word of God said they must.

The children are the heritage of the Lord and the fruit of the woman. There must be nurtured. They must be directed in the. Because they are the future.

They are the future. Sometime I look around the situation now that is happening. That is happening. What would be?

What is the future? What is what would be? It is only the Lord. It's only God.

It's only God that can revive, that can change situations, that can give hope to our children, to our futures. Because who is teaching them? Sometimes their parents are living worldly all over. No prayers, nothing.

Nothing. So what is it? What are we thinking? What is the future?

He says they are like the arrow in the hands of the warrior. Children need proper training, directions and purpose. Because they are the future generation. They are the future, whatever they need.

But is that what is happening? Are parents caring about them? Are they praying together? Some will leave in the morning.

They will leave very early in the morning. The wife will live all over, leave them there all over. They come back very late in the night and they come back tired all over. And the children will be moving.

Open. It is. We need to. As a church, we need to look at it.

There are children who should be well trained. Well trained children become a source of joy, honor and strength to their families and the society. So what are we doing? Are we conscious of this at the church, in Sunday school, in whatever?

Look at the word of God. Those children are the heritage of the Lord and the fruit of the womb is the reward. What kind of reward? What are we expecting?

Are we nurturing them in the fear of the Lord so that at the end of it all we will have. We will give God the glory. We will thank God that yes, God has done it. God has done said in other places, he said, as arrow are in the hands of the mighty man, so are children of the youth, future leaders.

So we should not play with the church, should not even play with it. The family should not play with it, should be sure. So this is today message. Today word we are going to give us directions on how to pray.

What we should pray. What we should pray to pray for our children. He said, happy is a man that has a quiver full of them. They shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemy in the gate.

They shall speak with the enemy in the gate. If you do well, if you handle them well, if you do teach them well, if you direct them in the fear of the Lord, if you lead them, You'll be happy. But if they become There are some people that get the children. And you know, we hear in the paper, read all over, children, this with the child, kill the father.

This one. So what is that? What is that you hear? They came in.

Oh, your child has been hurt by armed robbers. This is it. What is it? What is it?

We need to start early. So we need to work hard, trust God completely and invest in raising godly children. Without God there is frustrations, there is problem, there will be a lot of things. But with God there is fruitfulness, peace and a lasting success.

With God, even when you don't even have much, you are rejoicing with God. But you can see people with all a variable. Without God they are still, they cannot move along the street. When we started this thing, I remember brother called, said, ah, what about those cows?

That house, Those houses are full. I need that used to go with cows. I didn't see that. That very place.

I say, is that wrong? Is that the reason you don't come to church? You don't come near. He just laughed.

That alone. That alone. That alone. So what are we saying?

God is in control. We should know that God is the builder, the provider and the preserver. God is the builder, this church, whatever we have here is God. He is a provider in our homes.

He is the one that preserve us, preserve our life. Having that in mind, we should be rest assured that if we put our mind, if we put our heart into God, if we allowed him to take control of our family, of our business, of whatever we are doing, Success is job, we will succeed. We have a cause to glorify Him. You should know God is our builder.

Some trust in chariots, some in horses. We are trusting in the Lord. Trust in the Lord to the right and you will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. So we need to focus our prayer this morning.

We will focus on that. Ask God to remove slavery lands and strengthen us to depend on Him. It's just the will of God. It is the spirit of God.

It is the power on our own. We cannot do it if God do not strengthen us. There are a lot of people, many they don't if you tell them so. Let us pray that God to give us that spirit, that power.

That Holy Spirit should be upon us, that anointing so that we can depend on Him. He can empower us to live for him, to believe in him, to depend on Him. We should pray for the grace to balance whatever we are doing with faith in God. We should believe because many, many have derailed because they do not they believe in themselves self belief that they were not having that faith in God.

Some would not say, oh, show me. You want to see signs, want to see proof before they can believe. We should pray for wisdom to invest and guide children rightly. God should give us that wisdom so that we can invest on our children, we can guide them rightly.

So that at the end all the glory and honor will be ascribed to Him. We should pray for God to preserve and direct the life of our children for his own glory. For the glory of God. We should also pray this morning.

We should pray concerning our life, the life of our brethren. For God to continue to preserve our life, to protect. To protect. We should pray.

He said, God has said God is the builder. For God to continue to build our family, build the church, build our businesses, build whatever we are, we are desired, whatever is our desire. He is a builder. Pray for the protection God to protect this nation, the church, our brethren, protect our people.

Wherever going out are coming in. Protect our the surroundings, this very, very surrounding. Wherever we are, let the peace of God be with us. We should pray for the sick ones.

Those are facing challenges should pray for God to restore them. We should pray for the church, pray. By next Sunday the pastor will be coming here for counseling and the service. Pray to God for wisdom, knowledge, to lead whatever so that church will continue to grow in grace.

Remember word except the Lord. Build a house. The labor in vain that builded it. Except the Lord.

As we are going to pray, we will know that God is in charge. He will take over, he will take control, he will direct, he will see us through. At the end, glory and honor will be ascribed to him. Pray for tomorrow's service.

Pray for good weather God to bring our brethren here in peace. Pray for the people that the people that God will lead. The choir, the congregation, the functionaries, the Sunday school. These are all we need to take to God in this today prayer Preparatory easy service.

As we get up from the as we prayed, we need to believe that God has taken control that we will come here, will come here, blessed will come here touched by God in a way. These are the things you need to go to God in prayer. Two people will pray first. We pray on the on this word and also we pray on the different needs and the other one will pray for success of tomorrow's service.
