God tied the fruit of the remnant’s labor to their pursuit of His kingdom. When they turned to building His temple, their land began to prosper, and blessing followed (Haggai 2:15–19).

It pleases the Lord for us to be here today. Today is our fasting service, a day set aside for us to seek the face of God. So last week we looked at the kingdom of God being in you and also looked at spiritual labor and beds, pangs. And the Lord helped us understand how that there is a promise.
And for us, for that promise to become a reality, there needs to be what? Spiritual labor, birth pains. You cannot conceive a child without pain. That is us it.
So we trust God that this word has been effective in our lives. And the way we now approach prayer, it's not just casually, but because prayer is one of the ways we birth God's reality in our earth, on this earth. That is how we bring God's word down to earth, through prayer. So prayer is a form of labor to receive what God has given, has already given you, but it needs to be taken through prayer.
Today we want to look at a very important topic that concerns the body of Christ. If you notice the trend of things, you see what the Holy Spirit is trying to do is basically like an awakening to responsibility. Time for everyone to stand up. Nobody's permitted to sit on the fence.
The topic is building God's house. Building God's house. So I always like to give the how the world came about, right? Because I, I kind of like, like it when I know, okay, how did this come?
So it doesn't look as if I was just one, just felt like saying this. When you know the move of God and you are able to sense it, it's. It's actually a good thing. It encourages your faith, right?
So I was just studying the book of Hegai, my normal Bible reading, and I saw Haggai 1 and 2 and it was very, very prophetic. So I trust the Holy Spirit to guide us today on reading it. The last period, you see that everything is connected. The last Saturday as well, we were talking about Nehemiah's building projects and how the Lord raised him to build the walls of Jerusalem.
But in this case, we're looking at Book of Let me just read Haggai chapter one and two and look at it deeply and see how does this word of the prophet translate to us today? How does it apply to us? So one thing we need to understand, I've come to understand with the Bible, is that the Bible was not written to you. It was written to a particular set of people.
But it applies to you. It can apply to you. So sometimes we read Scripture and say, oh, it was not that. It was Paul.
When Paul was right. He was talking to a particular church, for example. But when you come in 2026, you look at yourself, look at what happened in church. So you said, okay, this thing actually applies to me.
So I can pick what he's saying there and apply it. Because if you say the Bible is talking to you, then you also accept. Because I noticed something. Some believers, whenever they hear things of doom, whenever I hear God saying, I'm going to wipe out this, I'm going to destroy this, you will not talk again.
You start rejecting God forbid, right? When you hear blessing, you grab it, right? So we try to. We are always trying to kind of like bias in our approach to Scripture.
But a healthy Christian is the one that knows how to take the whole counsel of God. You don't just take God's blessing and reject his causes. When you take God's blessing, you have to accept that, oh, if I default, this is the consequence. You see, that is how we grow.
Don't just take only sugar. Sometimes take bitter leaf. Don't just take only if you take what you purge. This is what's happening with many believers.
You don't want to hear the part that makes you uncomfortable. Once you're comfortable, you stop. When Jesus started talking about, eat my flesh, eat my drink my blood and this thing, many of them stopped following him. And he looked, are you also going to stop following me because of.
He said, to whom shall we go that has the words of eternal life. So I trust the Holy Spirit. As we go into the scripture today, Amazon 1 and 2. I always like to give a little bit of context before we go into.
Dive deeper. Who was Hagai? Who was he talking to? What period was that?
Now, the last time we spoke about Nehemiah, Nehemiah came like 70 years plus after a guy has done his own part. Nehemiah was the one that. So Hagai was a prophet, right? And he was in the era where the people of Israel finally returned from exile.
You know, God told them that they're going to go on exile, Babylon. And AI said that, I'm sorry, they finally came back after 70 years. Now, when they came back, obviously the whole city was destroyed. The walls have been broken down.
That Solomon temple that built, that was very magnificent. Everything was gone. Everything was in rubles. So they came back and they were in sorrow, but they came back with hope that, okay, let's start rebuilding.
And the first thing they started to do was what? Rebuild their own house. That's what I want to look at today. So we trust God to help us as we journey.
So let's look at it. So Haggai, chapter 1, verse 1. In the second year of Darius the King, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the Lord by Haggai the the prophet, unto Zerubbabel the son of Shel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Joseph, the high priest, saying. So take note.
Hi guy. This whole letter, it looks like a letter just chapter one and two. It was written to two specific people. So you see, when you reading scripture, understand it was talking to two specific people.
Now, these two people, the question you ask yourself is, am I among these two people? Which part do I represent? It doesn't always mean that everybody will be a David. You see, sometimes everybody read David and think, oh, they are talking to me.
It's not you. Sometimes you might be Aaron, sometimes you might be the people of Israel know your place. So these are two specific people. This whole thing was written to those two people.
See, he came to what? The word of the Lord came. Sorry, came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel and Joshua. So a little bit background story.
Zerubbabel was the governor at that time of Judah. Joshua was the high priest at that time in Judah. So you see two kind of prophetic rules, Zerubbabel and Joshua. So we're going to look into them a little bit.
But one thing to know is Zerubbabel just represents administrative activities, right? Joshua represents like the priest, which is, yes, they said was the high priest that time. So Joshua represents like maybe like pastor, a minister, right of God. If you bring them to 2026.
So that's how you interpret the scripture. Now he said, thus speaketh the Lord of hosts saying, the people say the time is not come. The time that the Lord's house should be built. Then came the word of the Lord by Hagai saying, is it time for you, o ye, to dwell in your sealed house?
Is this house and this house lie Waste. Look at it. Now. Just let me go back a bit.
Notice that the word of Lord did not just come to the man of God, Joshua, the high priest. He also came to a governor, somebody that was in government, you see, for God. Why did God not just come and talk to the high priest? I mean, they are talking about building God's house.
What does God have to do with building, building God's house? It is all normal. We just focus on everything. You see, when we try to read scripture halfway, you see that you fall into error.
God specifically said, talk to this governor and talk to the guy. Bring both of them together. It's two of them I want to use to build even God. Understand the place of administrative work and the place of spirituality.
There is a place for both. If you run with just one, you are going to see problem. If you just have the anointing and you don't have administrative abilities, your church will be scattered. Things will be scattered.
Your house will be scattered. You see, this is one thing that people don't understand is if you think it's only by praying. Oh yeah. Now stay inside your room and pray this thing.
Let's see how things will come up. Maybe God has given instruction on things you should do practically. But you don't. See, this is one of the things that hinder growth.
Because a lot of Christians are confused with this thing because they thought that, oh, it's God. So I feel you just need to just stay in one corner. Just be spiritual. Don't talk to anybody.
I see. This is why people are not growing. Christians are. And they are frustrated.
They like, they prefer to just fast, transform. You see people, churches, they do fasting, everything. They like all those things because they think that, oh, they will not neglect their responsibilities. Do you know what governor is now, if this thing sound like, okay, you are a Christian, you now choose not to also participate in making sure that things around you is working.
You are going to suffer. You are still going to suffer. See, God did not neglect the zero bar bill. He actually had a choice to just speak directly to this one.
But in this case, he saw there is need for if the government is not functioning well, this thing you are trying to do will not work. Where will you get the money from? Let's continue. See, he said, is it time for you?
So the people were building their house. Now, I don't want you to look at it now because the problem again that I've observed a lot of times whenever reading scripture, you just read it physically. You see this letter killer. But the spirit given life.
Ask yourself, what is the prophetic dimension? What is the spiritual application of this to me as a believer here you find out that you see the house they are referring to. Let's just go. You see that the house they are referring to here.
I know back then it was what I told you. Old Testament is a shadow of the things to come. It is a shadow. It's not the actual thing.
It's not the real thing. The real thing is what we are experiencing today. So the house we are referring to there is not just a building until you understand. Even when you are talking about kingdom, you see, we have talked about kingdom of God.
Kingdom of God is not just a building in heaven. When you say my father, my father has that many mansion. You are only thinking about building because you are too materialistic. Because all you see in your life is building.
So your mind. Jesus was trying to explain it in a human context. Because in heaven you cannot describe and explain. Paul said he went to the third heaven.
He could not he said the things he saw. He doesn't have the words to describe what he saw because it is beyond human civilization. This thing you are seeing here, all these things are like shadows. There you see it in a way.
So when you are seeing mansion in your mind, you are thinking when you say my father, there are many mansions. So you are taking your have one mansion. It might be like that, but it might be way, way bigger than you think. It might even be beyond a building.
But that's beside the point. So I want you to shift your focus from a physical building and ask yourself what is the house that you are building today? He said, these people. He said, is it time for you to dwell in your sealed house?
Ask yourself where are you dwelling? And this house lie waste. Yes, today might apply physically and also spiritually. But can we just focus more on the spiritual aspect today?
Now therefore consider, said the Lord of both. He said, now therefore, said the Lord, consider your ways. Consider your ways. Like reflect, reflect.
Let's think about this truly now you have so much. Now look, God always like when we sit down and reflect. People don't think about what they are doing. You don't look at things, you don't observe patterns.
Look now see why he said consider your ways. He said, whenever I see therefore is like because of this. Look at the outcome. Observe.
Now I started explaining. Number one, you have so much, I bring in little. You eat, you still don't have enough. You drink, you're not yet filled with drink.
He clothes you, but there's no warmth. And he that earn it wages, earnest wages to put into a bag with holes. Have you not seen what is going on? You would think that oh, it's by hard work.
Observe people that claim that oh, I'm too busy, I have work to do. Blah blah, blah, blah blah. Go and still check them. Till now the same work that they are saying this, this, this, this, this just working on it.
Till date they never get anything, nothing to show for it. But it is that work that drew you Away from God's work to do something else. And that work now kept you there. And you remain in that perpetual state till dates.
And it's like, oh, how's your work doing? Thank God, it's not easy. Till now. It's still not easy.
How? That's what he was telling them. O, calm down. Consider your will.
You see, the God of this age has blinded the eyes of men that you cannot see the things that are going on. Sit down and check. Okay. All this years I have invested a lot of labor in my work.
What is the outcome? I put money inside my pocket. It's falling off. I made this amount.
It's still dropping. What is going on? That is what he was trying to tell them. Let's look.
Thus said the Lord. He said it again. See, when there's an emphasis on the word. So another way to read scripture is read and look at emphasis.
Whenever there is a repetition of something, it shows that God is trying to make a point. I know they just say avoid being repetition in prayer. Let me tell you that you don't understand the context of that word. But now even God himself uses repetition.
Even Peter uses repetition in his distance. Peter clearly said it. I know I've told you this thing before, but I'm telling you again so that you understand. You see, sometimes we need to say things 10 times.
You know, when we're in nursery school, we want to say multiplication table 2 times 1, 2 every morning. Why are you saying it every time? Because there's a knowing. There's a way you can hear.
I am not here until you hear it 10 times. I encourage people, if you want to understand the scripture or a salmon, try and listen to it more than two times. Some other man or men of God, they usually say, they usually listen to one someone. They can listen to you like 20 times, 30 times one someone.
Because you think you are veggie. The first time you see all this, someone will preacher. You think you are veggie. Go and listen to it again.
You see? New, new, new. Until enter. He said what?
Consider your ways. I want us to consider our ways. Do a stop check since all the way. Okay.
Try and calculate how much time you have spent in your work and how much time you have spent in God. Check the roi, return on investment. All the time you have put label. Label.
I let me give. I remember my own case. Ah, that time. I usually labor and work morning to midnight.
I sleep like three hours every day. Nothing. No, it's not that. Something.
I was building up something, but nothing was coming out. But as soon as I shifted trajectory and started focusing more on the things of God, my God, I'm even confused. I'm asking how. Wait, I don't just how many hours I can just work in a day.
Three hours. The rest time. I'm actually learning other things. Three hours.
And the return is like I discovered a new way of living without this. Every time you want to walk, he said verse 8. Go up to the mountain and bring wood and build the house and I will take pleasure in it and I will be glorified, said the Lord. He looked for much and lo, it came to little.
And when he bought its home, I did blow it. Why? Said the Lord of host, because of my house. That is waste.
And you run every man into onto his own house. Maybe this topic might be two parts. Maybe because there's a part I'm trying to enter, but I just focus on the house. You see what's going he's telling you.
Are you aware? You see these are not part people don't want to like to hear. He says devil most sometimes, sometimes. In fact many times if you are a child of God.
God. See what he said? He said I'm the one. He said I did blow upon it.
I was the one that blew your riches away. I was the one. It's not Satan, it's me. I know we always thought, oh yes, every good and perfect gift comes from God.
But do you know that the Bible says whom the Lord loveth is chasteneth. If you are a father, you see your child doing something that is going to affect him. Maybe eating too much sugar or not doing what he's meant to do, he's not doing his assignment. And you come and you seize that thing that was giving him joy.
Maybe he likes playing game and you seize this game. Are you saying that you are a wicked person? Does it mean you are wicked? So some people now if I say this thing that God was one that destroyed your business, you say God for he can't be God, it's Satan.
Okay. When your father takes away that thing that is giving you joy, when you're meant to do something I'm meant to be doing, does it mean it's wicked? No, it's simply what disciplining you. He's trying to get your attention to what matters.
And the thing is that people will not still understand this thing because they are still children. Forget that you are 50, 60, 70. Many people are still babies in the spirit. You can see a 20 year old child that is even More elderly than a 60 year old inside the church, Inside church because of the spiritual depth of that person.
You see, it's you that is measuring age by 70. You are proud to be. People are proud to be old. But if you check your weight in the spirit, you are still two months, three months.
You have not come up hither. He said, deep calls onto deep come because of my house. That is waste. And you run every man into your own house.
So running to your house looks like you focusing on your own name. You want to build your own thing. I hear people saying, let me first guide. I said, we want to give that to Christ now.
I said, no, no, make. I just first run some things first make a first settle. Then you come back to church. And you know, I want to have more so that I'll be able to donate to church.
You see, that's what you don't understand. You think is God does not need your resources for you to serve him. He needs you. You see, people have this mindset that, oh, if I stay too much, I'll not be able to have money.
So let me go and do things when I guide. Let me go and get that contract. Then when I guide, I'll come back and I'll build the church. You see, that's foolishness.
I'm sorry to say, but that's foolishness. You still don't get the point. Therefore the heaven, he said, therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew and the earth is stayed from her fruits. God literally can stop the ground from giving fruit to you and the heavens from raining on your own life because of this little thing neglecting his kingdom.
We heard it in the sermon yesterday. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. And I like this translation. He said something.
He said, those lesser things you desire will come abundantly to you. Deep. That translation to say lesser things he understood. And when you read the preceding verse, you understand what do those lesser things he was talking about food, clothing, shelter, raiment that the gentiles are always laboring for, they are always toiling for.
He said, those things be added in our bond dance to you. You see this one? The secret to wealth. I'm not talking about normal wealth.
I'm talking about kingdom, generational wealth. But Satan has blinded us to think that. No, no, no. Spending more time here will reduce what I can do outside.
And again, there's another area where Satan allows you to spend more time inside here. But you spend any time inside, you're no longer doing it well. So you still Lose So you lose on both ends because there are people that actually stay inside. They are always.
And they think that they actually are advancing the kingdom. Because I'm not talking about you coming to church and becoming regularly. This is not the point. Because when people hear this thing and you think about oh let me be always coming to church, maybe clearing the church if you are doing all these activities.
But your heart, you see is the heart that is looking for your heart is not there. I see people I need to pray sometimes. Some people are cleaning church with so much zeal and I'm like praying God, please let this person heart before you. It's not just the outward things is inside.
I can, I can't. Someone can be preaching here every period and his heart is not with God. I'm telling you you can. Satan can preach the gospel.
He knows Bible. Now you know was he not from beginning he was there. He knows Bible. He can stand here and preach a wonderful sermon.
But you see that it's not about these outward things, it's inside. So when I'm talking about building the temple of God or building God's house, one of those referring to be external activity it is you are doing. Please don't get me wrong. So and I called for a drought.
Look, God was the one that called for a drought upon the land and upon the mountains. I God himself called for a drought. And upon the corn and upon the new wine and upon the oil and upon the ground which and upon men and upon cattle upon all the labors of their hand. He called for a drought.
So there was scarcity of men, there was scarcity of cattle. You'll be looking for people to help you. You don't see people. You are looking for this.
Why don't you consider your ways and say ah. Maybe God is calling my attention. I look to God. That's what this is one reason why we fast sometimes God.
God can actually frustrate your life just so that it can get your attention. I say bro, focus on me, focus. I'm calling you. Come then.
Zerubbabel the son of Shetel and Joshua son of Jose, the high priest with all. Now let's look at these three parts. This is very important part where I'm trying to land. Look, look at take note of the three personality mentioned here.
Zerubbabel the son of Shetel, Joshua the son of Joseph, the high priest with all the what remnants of the people, what they do. They obey the voice of the Lord their God and take note and the words of Haggai the prophets as the Lord their God had sent him. And the people did fear before the Lord. For revival to break out, these three elements are important.
Administrative, leader. You need a spiritual leader. I need the remnants. You need the people.
You see, we are praying for revival. We are praying that God should come back. We are praying that there should be restoration. There should be hunger and thirst for righteousness.
All those things. But you see, in those three elements are missing. Revival cannot break out. Revival is not a one man thing.
Revival is the body. Everybody has to be involved. So you see, those are three things. So my question is, where are the Zerubbabels?
Where are the Joshuas? Where are the remnants? Where are these three set of people? That is the question.
Find your spots. Where are you located? Are you among the Zerubbabels? Are you among the Joshuas?
Those that will stand in the gap? You know, Zerubbabel, Joshua was a was high priest. So he's probably the one that was is interceding for the people, is offering the sacrifices. Where are these people?
Ask yourself, do we have these three elements in the church? If you don't have it, you how do you want to rebuild this thing? It's not one person's thing. It's not true.
It takes a village, like I said, to raise a child, right? Remnants. Where are the remnants? So let's look at 13 then speak Hagai, the Lord's messenger in the Lord's message unto the people, saying I am with you, said the Lord.
Now look at now part verse 14. Take note. And the Lord stared up the spirit number one, the spirit of Zerubbabel, which is the governor of Judah, the spirit of Joshua, the high priest and the spirit of all the remnant of the people. And they came and did work in the house of Lord.
Until there is a stirring of the spirit, men will fail to walk. Men will fail to do the work of the Lord. Now this is a spiritual parallel to seek to faith the kingdom of God and righteousness and everything unto you. You will not be able to seek God's kingdom.
The reason why many are struggling to do what God wants them to do is because you have not been stayed. Remember we talk about Nehemiah. There was a staring in the heart of Nehemiah. So when God wants to bring revival, he stares somebody up.
And that st can look like frustration, it can look like agitation. It just look like a burden. That's what you call burden, spiritual burden. Like you just feel a weight in your heart whenever you see some people have a Burden for children.
My question is what are you building like? That's what question ask what has God called you to build? It may be to build the children ministry. Something may build maybe to build physical house.
But you see that you will notice there's one particular aspect that God has planted in your heart as a body. So for revival to come, there must be a staring. You see somebody, he just always wants to make sure that the grass is cleared. That's his own body.
Somebody is just concerned about this wall of this. Someone is concerned about security. Someone is concerned. Those are the bodies God stares up the heart of men.
That's why you don't see somebody just feel like donating. You just feel like it is a staring God stares the heart. So one of the things we pray is where are these Zerubbabels? Where are the Joshua's?
Where are the remnants? Lord, stare them up in the name of Jesus, let there be staring in the heart. I think that's one of the prayers we pray today. And I'll be praying that prayer since I received this word.
Lord, let there be a staring stare. Our hearts stay our hearts. It's not. It's not about motivation.
You can motivate people today. Let me tell you, tomorrow they're not still come to church. It's not that. You see, it starts from the spirit.
It's not about encouraging people. Please come. Please come. If the spirit is not firsted.
That's why you have to labor in the place of. You see, that's the promise, right? God said will stay their heart. That's the promise.
You can hold that promise. Enter your closet private place. Labor until you see. See that staring in the heart of people.
You start seeing people you now know. Okay, it's almost. The baby is almost coming out. You continue again until that promise is conceived.
Don't stop. That is. That is how you do spiritual labor. He said.
And the Lord stirred up. He said, God, you stared those people for a physical building. Can you stir up these ones for now? Can you stir me up?
Maybe you are lacking the desire to do this. I wrote it here. Right? So practical obedience comes when there is a divine staring you will not be.
No wonder people finding how to obey because you have not been stayed. And I need to actually struggle to obey. I'm like God, I actually want to do this, but I just cannot just do it because you have not been stayed. Lord Stemi.
You know, the Bible says this thing that he should. He told Timothy, Paul told Timothy, you see, I'm just trying to connect Old Testament or New Testament. Thank you, Holy Spirit. He said, he told Timothy that you should stir up the gift that is in you.
How do you stir it up? Now there's a technology in spirit right now that helps you to stir up the gift in you. To stir up a desire you by praying in the spirit. That's how you stir up this thing.
When you don't feel like doing something for God or things of God, go and stir yourself up. You stir it. There's. There's a spirit instead of the spirit.
You can stir up your spirit, God can help you to stir up your spirit. But that's another topic for another time. So in the fourth and the sixth month, maybe we'll just read the chapter. Okay, wrap up in the fourth and the 20th day of this thing, the second year of this thing.
That was when the Lord stared up the heart of the people. So in summary, okay, verse two, just quickly fast forward here. Verse two. He says, speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shethel.
Again you see? And to Joshua and to the high priest saying now I want to connect this to Jesus Christ. I told you that every the scripture, everything. If you read scripture and you cannot see Jesus Christ there, go and pray for the Holy Spirit.
Open your eyes. Every scripture leads to Jesus indirectly or directly. That is the whole point of the Bible is leading to Christ. If you read the scripture to Genesis, Revelation, or maybe you have read Old Testament, you have not seen Jesus.
Did not see Jesus Christ in Genesis. You don't see him in Exodus, you not see in the discourse. It shows you are not reading your Bible well as the Holy Spirit. Open your eye.
Now this hagar, you see Jesus Christ, right? He said, speak not to this thing. These three people again he says, speak to Zerubbabel, Joshua and the what residue of the people. Involve the people.
The people must be involved. He said, who's left among you that saw this house in her first glory? And how do you see it now? Is it not in your eyes in comparison as of nothing?
So after some years they have already built the temple. They actually finished building the temple. But people that have seen the glory of it before. So he tried sh.
But it's not like the one that was before. So some of them were sad because Solomon's the one. Solomon was so mighty. And they were like feeling sad like Kai.
That's why he of asking them, who who is left among you that saw it that time? How many of you saw the house when he was very big? So some of them saw it. He said, yet now see encouragement.
He told. Hey, guy, tell me yet now. I promise you, I'm assuring you something. Be strong.
Oh Zerubbabel, said the Lord. He's talking to a governor, bro. Be strong. Just imagine talking to Governor Legacy.
Be strong, right? Be strong. Oh, Joshua then also told Joshua, be strong. And he also told the people, be strong.
Save the Lord and what walk for? I am with you, said the LORD of hosts. Let's go. According to the word I covenanted with you when you came out of it.
So my spirit remaineth among you. Fear you not, not Take note now. For thou, said the Lord of hosts, yet once it's a little while. And I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land, and I will shake all the nations and all.
And the desire of all nations shall come. And I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord. The silver is mine and the gold is mine, said the Lord. The glory of the latter house shall be greater than the former.
You see, this is a promise. Hold it until you give birth to the reality of this thing, said a lot of us. And in this place I will give peace. This place, said a lot of us.
Now, now you are seeing this in our physical building, talking about, oh, the way is fine, it will be this thing. No, no, this is beyond that. What he's talking about is prophetically talking about the temple of God, which is your body. The Bible says.
No, you know that your temple is the body. Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost. Right? He's talking about the spiritual temple.
Right? Which is every believer. Which is the body of Christ, which is every individual believer. Right now he's telling us that the growth of the latter shall be better than the former.
And in this place I will give peace. So what makes the house glorious is not the building. It's not the aesthetics. It's not all those things.
That's what Jesus was trying to. God was trying to tell them there because they built the temple again and it was looking. It was smaller compared to where it was before. Now let me ask you a question.
That's the building, that beauty finish. But he's not telling them now. Don't worry. The growth of this house will be better than the former.
How explain. Like God, help me understand. He was trying to explain to them that back then there was a level of glory that that house filled. The glory was more in the physical appearance.
But now the building is looking small. But God is now showing them that the glory in this house will be greater than the latter. He's trying to talk about his presence. Look at it now.
Verse 4. He said, For I am with you, said the Lord of hosts. Verse 5. Now said that my spirit remaineth among you.
So what will make this place, what will make us more glorious than before is what this dwelling of God in us. You see, this is why I'm trying to say this. Because a lot of people, we are too materialistic. We are focusing on physical things.
Leave the physical realm. There is something bigger than you can think of, what eyes have not seen. Because now when I say that scripture, what eyes have not seen, what ears have not heard, what has not entered, what God has prepared for those who love him. But the spirit of God has revealed it.
You are thinking about car. You are thinking of material things. You are thinking about having lands in the. In the earth.
God is talking about something spiritual. You are focusing on the spiritual thing. This is why believers get frustrated when they pray. They pray.
Ah, God. It's not happening the way I thought. So what I'm saying here is that the glory is being. What makes the glory latter better informer is the presence.
Let me tell you why this is important. When I was told to organize one event like that, I was trusting God for about 400 people to come, right? Because I have 400. So I now started praying this prayer.
Because after I pray, you continue praying continuously at the 200 and something came. It was even by God's gr 200 something people came. So we are already budgeted for 400 people. 200 Something people came and I was wondering we did everything what went wrong?
Because I was reading the scripture wrongly, I was thinking glory is about number. This what makes place glorious is God's presence. See, if you understand this thing, you get peace of mind. Because when you say glory, I know there's a dimension.
Yes, glory also means this thing. But that's not the actual meaning. You can. It's you that is trying to push it so that will fit your context.
Please read the Bible in context and that's how you get richer understanding of the scripture. So I think we'll stop here for now. So we have seen at the end of the day, in summary, you read it to the end. God restored everything back to them.
If you read everything, if you. He said you read down to the end. God restored everything back to them. So their land became wealthy and everything came back to normal after why they built this after they built the temple.
Look at verse 18, which was the Summary. He said, consider now from this day. From this day upward. That means from the day they gave up.
They made up their mind to build the temple and they started building it. He said, consider now from now. From now upward. From the 4th and 20th day of the 9th month, even from the day that the foundation of the lost temple was laid.
Consider it that. Start counting from the. Just watch and see. God wants us to always.
What watch? Remember I said consider your ways twice. Now he's saying now again, consider local. Observe so that you will.
I'll show you that this thing is actually because you did not build my temple. Just focus on building my temple for one year. Just focus on. I'm.
Just focus on building my temple. One year. Focus on winning souls. Focus on praying for the poor.
Lead your own issues. Just focus on my work. Focus on building my church. Focus on the children.
Focus on ensuring that God's name is not tampered. Focus on representing me in that business. You focus on suffering for me. You focus on representing me.
Just focus. That's what he's saying. Just focus and watch. See now, is the seed yet in the urban.
Yes, as yet the vine and the fig tree and the PR and the olive tree had not brought forth. Right from this day I will bless you. That's another promise. Oh, deeds.
He said, taste and see that the Lord is good. Can you know those experiments, God, I saw this thing in the scripture. Today I would like to experiment. You know what?
For one year I'm going to give myself to you totally. I'm just going to focus on doing everything you want me to do. Is it to win souls? Is it to do this?
I'll do it. Please, I want to see this award. But now, don't give God time. Right?
Don't give. God is a king, right? Don't give God time. Don't give God time.
I advise you, don't give God time. But eventually when you do it like that, you eventually just see yourself. Your spirit will be quickened and automatically you forget that you are even doing it. For one year.
You just see yourself. You're already lost in it and you just love it. That's how the spirit of God works. So this is what is the call to action is Aruba Bell without Joshua will lead to corruption.
A governor without a spiritual leader will lead to corruption. Administrative work inside church without spiritual leading will lead to corruption. When you focus on holy structure, there will be corruption. That's what people are always afraid of.
I don't want to have too much structure because Things, people start becoming this and that. Lot of activities lead to without a Joshua will lead to little spiritual power. Yes, the church. There will be a lot of activities, everything.
In fact, you know that you can bring thousands of people can fill this place. If you want to bring member, you can bring members with just a Zerubbabel without Joshua. But the problem is that there will be little spiritual. What power now?
Now, if you have a Joshua without a Zerubbabel, someone that is very spiritual, praying and everything, doing the word of God, everything. You only get spiritual passion, little execution. Things will not be done well. It should just be high.
As you get passion, energy, but little execution, things will still. Water will still be on the floor. Things will be scattered. Think about it your business.
If you now have Zer and Joshua without the people, you will lead to burnout. What we are doing, for example, People just only the leaders trying to do things. Eventually you burn out a few workers carrying your church, right? People without leader.
Now, if you have only the remnants, there is no Joshua, there is no Zerubbabel. You will get confusion, energy, no direction. So consider this word as the Word has come today. And ask yourself, Lord, who am I?
Am I Zerubbabel? Am I Joshua? What have you called me to do? Am I part of the remnant?
What is my function? What is my place? Stir me up, oh God. Stir me up, oh God.
I will see the revival that we have been expecting. I pray the Lord will open our eyes to see Jesus in this world. In Jesus name shall we go to God in prayer?
